The 12 Days of Christmas #2: “2 Minutes To Midnight” by Iron Maiden!
The festivity of the twelve days of Christmas runs from 25th December to 5th January, based on an English Christmas Carol that sees a lover give gifts cumulatively over the Christmas season starting with Christmas Day. Originally published in 1780, it’s probably French in origin, Skull Island has been conquered many times in it’s rich heritage. So for the twelve days, we’re doing twelve Metal tracks that have something to do with the item. Vaguely.
“On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree”
It’s Boxing Day. That’s the day after Christmas Day. The one where you probably wake up with a hangover, start the day off with a flat already open from the night before can of warm beer and probably eat some left overs. From 1984’s “Powerslave” it has to be “2 Minutes To Midnight” by Iron Maiden. An instantly recognizable classic for a fuzzy head.
