Bootleg: “The Mixture” from Volumes at Swanfest!
After single “Holywater” and the announcement that Michael Barr was back in Volumes yesterday, today they have released a full statement on the line up changes after playing their cards close to their collective chests. It seems that with guitarist Diego Farias having made a name for himself as a producer in his own right and having stepped away from touring previously, he wants to pursue that avenue full time while the remainder of Volumes want to be a full time band. So they’ve partnered up with friend Max Schad to produce, mix, track and play guitars on the debut single with the new lineup, though he is not the full-time guitarist and they have someone lined up to fill that role for short term shows including their European run with Born of Osiris, Defying Decay and Oceans Ate Alaska.
