After 21 years together, American Gothic Doom Metal act Type O Negative lost their much loved and eccentric frontman Peter Steele. The 6ft 8in bassist and vocalist, known for his self deprecating sense of humor and vampire like appearance may have passed away in 2010 but his work lives on with seven studio albums and in the hearts and minds of not only the fans but of Kenny Hickey, Josh Silver, Johnny Kelly, Sal Abruscato and Scott Warren who all shared a stage with the legend. So to our head to head and the fourth studio record, “October Rust” by Type O Negative. In the Blue corner we have South African solo project Aois Innealan, who add some industrial tinged Black Metal flair to the classic, which appeared from Daniel Botha in the wake of debut EP “Colossus“.
