NEWS: Core System return with “Omen”!
Croatian Progressive Metallers Core System have taken a minute to pay their respects to the late Keith Flint of The Prodigy as they release a music video for their interpretation of “Omen”. A cut that has been taken on before by the likes of Japanese Industrial Metallers Crossfaith, the band have also put together a music video filmed by Denis Perčić and Zoran Fras on location with St. George Hills American Car Club and Lepi Dečki Brewery lending a hand.
The band comment: “As the news hit us that Keith Flint has passed away, the idea of covering one of their songs came to mind immediately. We are huge fans of Prodigy and we wanted to pay respect to Keith through the music he created. Choosing which one to cover was a no-brainer since “Omen” fits perfectly with our style of rhythm and melody, but also combines electronic elements with the low-down heaviness which we like very much. As for the music video, we wanted something silly eventually leading to the climax which should show the energy of the band and the audience. So we took some silly outfits, some beer and some cars, organized a private “filming party” and got cracking. The song was recorded throughout the COVID infected 2020, and is already a part of our live set for months now. It was a bit of a challenge organizing the video shoot due to restrictions, but it was all filmed in a single day on a lovely summer’s day in June. Make sure you follow our social media after the video is released as we are going to announce a very exciting giveaway in which everyone can participate”
