NEWS: Stoneside welcome us to The Desert Hell…
After the announcement that one of their upcoming new cuts “My Love/My Tomb” features a guest appearance from producer and former Loathe guitarist Connor Sweeney, Stoneside have shared “Hell” from their upcoming sophomore EP “The Desert“. Reading between the lines of their social media campaign it looks as though the affair will feature seven cuts for seven deadly sins…
The band comment: “Hell. Evan grew up in a loving and supportive home. This didn’t stop the young man from slowly becoming a horrible addict. multiple close calls and multiple failed attempts at sobriety later, Evan caught a bus ride into town to get high (He had totaled his car while driving drunk and had already survived near death because of this). He met up with his “providers” that night. in the early hours of the morn, he was discovered on a side road unconscious and unresponsive. They had dropped him here presumably because they thought he was going to die. He came to in the hospital days later and couldn’t walk, control his bowels, or feel sensation. The doctors said that when he shot up, he had somehow suffered a cardiac infarction and was paralyzed. Weeks passed and despite initial hope and intensive physical therapy, he never regained his ability to walk.. Months passed and Evan lived with his parents, unable to maintain a job, unable to properly raise his young daughter, and struggling to stay clean….one night he woke up, went down to the bus stop in the wheelchair he’d been confined to, and caught the bus into the city one final time”
