Throwback: “The Hate Song” by Raging Speedhorn!
It’s hard to believe but 20 years ago Corby’s finest Raging Speedhorn rolled up on New York with Billy Graziadei and Danny Schuler from Biohazard who produced their second album “We Will Be Dead Tomorrow” before joining Joe Barresi at Hook End Studios. A Sludge Metal record with elements of Hardcore, Stoner and even some Death Metal with the unmistakable pounding bass lines and guitar tones alongside lyrics about hedonism, drug use, violence and depression was met with critical acclaim while continuing the help establish the band as a force in the United Kingdom Metal scene in 2002. So it should be celebrated as one of the many hatchets that got buried in Nu-Metal when it reached its saturation point before the World turned to American Metalcore inspired by the Gothenburg Sweden Melodic Death Metal sound. It’s time to blast those cobwebs away with “The Hate Song” a scathing tribute to those lying, cheating, no good, down and dirty managers who never deliver what they promise…
