Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins?! FIGHT! Iron.

The last single featuring the classic Motörhead line-up of Lemmy, “Fast” Eddie Clarke and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor, as Clarke left following the recording of the “Stand By Your Man” EP, a collaboration with the Plasmatics, “Iron Fist” has to be one of the British heavy metal highlights of 1982. Covered by many, feared by few, it’s a beast that should be celebrated with a poison challace raised aloft.

In the blood Red Corner we have Australian Thrash merchants Shatter Brain who recorded their version with Andy Kite at Against The Grain studios before handing it over to Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at GodCity studios to mix. Spliced together with live video from their Tryra tour in 2021, its pure mayhem. In the ice Blue Corner we have Stonedrift who recorded their rendition of the classic at AudioCore Studio in Palma in October 2020 and shot a video with Nicole Diana in June 2022 which unofficially celebrates their 15th Anniversary having formed the band in 2007.  Who Wins?
