Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Marilyn Manson.
Taking its name from the 1967 book of the same name by Marilyn Bender which opened the doors to the World on the Jet-set lifestyle of the 1960s and the culture of beauty, fashion and politics, “The Beautiful People” is arguably one of Marilyn Manson’s finest moments. Appearing on the bands 1996 album “Antichrist Superstar” and putting the band into the World of Alternative Metal while also having an industrial vibe. That vibe comes in part due to Nine Inch Nails men Trent Reznor, Chris Vrenna and Charlie Clouser all being involved in the production and programming behind the tune.
In the red corner we have Eighteen Visions who have been pictured in the studio working on a new album as a trio with second guitarist Josh James on tour with Stick To Your Guns. They recorded their version for the first incarnation of the “Punk Goes 90’s” series from Fearless Records in 2006. In the blue corner we have Soulfly who recorded their version alongside a cover of Bad Brains “Sailin’ On” for their 6th studio album “Conquer” in 2008. Who Wins? You decide!
