NEWS: Aortes announce “Devouring Gloom” with the title track!

Formerly known as Autism, Lithuanian dark Post-Metal act Aortes have announced a new full-length album “Devouring Gloom” is scheduled for a 28th February 2023 release. That news comes with music video for the album title track as well as a track listing which confirms that December 2020 Autism single “Immersion” will be on the record as well as a cover of “Something in the Way” by Seattle Grunge legends Nirvana. Pre-orders including vinyl editions are available over at bandcamp.

The band comment: “We are really excited to finally put out a new album. But it is finally finished and it seems that with this release we have finally managed to properly channel our creative vision. This darker, more dissonant and chaotic sound felt like a natural evolution of AORTES.

The central themes of the album deal with the struggle of the overwhelming feeling of despair, hopelessness, loneliness – or as we thought of it – a gloom that surrounds and devours you. Sometimes you find the strength to fight it off, other times you admit defeat. But there is always hope
