Rabidfest 2023: Breaking Down The Bands #10: LestWeForget!

Following the news that Blaze Bayley has suffered a heart attack and is in recovery the Rabidfest Family sends it’s collective best wishes for a speedy recovery with the hope that the former Iron Maiden frontman can make a triumphant return to the Devolution Magazine sponsored main stage in November. A major part of the events history, this years fifth anniversary has been put together as a celebration of that while looking ahead to a future so bright it will burn your retinas. One of the main draws to this year’s incarnation of Rabidfest is LestWeForget, a band who seamlessly blend Metalcore influences in Killswitch Engage and Trivium into Progressive Metal ones in Between The Buried And Me and TesseracT to create their own hybrid as the DNA intertwines. That alchemy sees the four piece performing songs with anthemic weight that are complex and interesting as well as being captivating and enthralling. Rhythmically powerful and yet delicately intricate with nuances that pop out of the mix like her ghost in the fog, the cascading vocals help bring it all together and the bands music speaks for itself. The off kilter riffs of the fan favourite “Zero Won“, with it’s 25k Spotify and YouTube streams combined a testament to their qualification to perform on the Rabidfest stage…
