NEWS: Raze share a new level of Vengeance?
Fretless bass, furious vocals and a bass solo have all gone into what Raze are falling into the trap of calling their “heaviest song yet” in crushing new single “Blue-Sky Vengeance“. Why trap? Because (a) everyone does it and (b) it sets them up for a fall if it’s not straight up pig squealing, monkey brain eating slamming Deathcore. Which it ain’t. It’s Alternative Metal with a sprinkling of Grunge for the kind of person who would attend a masquerade ball and to be fair to them, that is where they shot the video for it. Although we’re not entirely convinced that everyone who was in attendance knew exactly what was going on…
“So there’s a bass guitar solo. Jack [Ilott, guitar player] actually wrote it before I joined the band. It’s a fickle thing. I remember the first time we played Blue-Sky Vengeance together in the practice room, and we played the whole thing start to finish – I felt exhausted, like I’d just finished a marathon.” ~ bassist Sam Trueman.
