Throwback: “Cast No Shadow” by Seemless!

Formed in 2002 and releasing a pair of albums in 2005’s Self Titled and 2006’s “What Have We Become” before calling it a night in 2009 at The Lucky Dog in Worcester Massachusetts, Seemless was an American Stoner Metal band held in high regard. Comprising ex-Shadows Fall and Unearth drummer Derek Kerswill, Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach, and ex-Overcast and Killswitch Engage guitarist Pete Cortese, the band built a reputation for an emotive live show with Leach showcasing soulful, blues-y stylings never previously heard. Cuts like the riff lead “Lay My Burden Down” drew comparison with the work of Down while the band enjoyed regular replays on the then huge MTV’s Headbangers Ball as well as tours with Trivium, Soil and In Flames. In 2006, their video for the single “Cast No Shadow” made MTV’s Top Ten new videos for the year and so we raise a poison chalice in celebration of it’s 17th Anniversary…
