Vocalist Angus Roberton comments: “A Familiar Face (Of Someone I Never Knew) is an expression of childhood trauma. The main focus in lyrics within this song quotes “the end of eternal youth”, This can be taken as upon the instance of trauma it can often feel as if your youth has been stripped away and all joy of childhood has been tarnished.”
