NEWS: Under Blackened Skies announce their return!
When it’s meant to be, they come back you see. After an eight year wander in the wilderness Birmingham Blackened Death Metal favourites Under Blackened Skies have announced their return to battle, something which may have been in the works since the summer of 2022. They do so with four fifths of the original line up intact, a new bassist in Dan Carter the only alteration to their previous incarnation, the one who played the New Blood stage at Bloodstock in 2010. There maybe no new material to accompany the announcement, but there is the promise of tour dates and behind the scenes featurettes in the not too distant future. If you’ve forgotten what they sound like you can check out 2012 EP “Faceless Devastation” over at bandcamp.
Dan Carter, formerly of Left For Red, joins Under Blackened Skies with a wealth of experience and a shared passion for the band’s unique sound. Carter expressed his excitement about joining the fold, stating, “I was thrilled to be asked to join Under Blackened Skies, they were a band that I admired when my old band used to perform with them. I love playing their songs, and I am excited to share the stage with them in 2024 and write new music.”
