Throwback: “Contractor” by Lamb Of God!

You didn’t think we were going to let the 15th anniversary of “Wrath” by Lamb Of God just slide on by now did you? The album from the Richmond Virginia Groove Metal heavyweights reached that milestone on 23rd February and saw Josh Wilbur (Hatebreed, Megadeth, Gojira) return to the producers chair. In the ashes of the wake of “Sacrament” with the HUGE single “Redneck“, this was an album that was always going to come under the spotlight no matter what Randy Blythe and his outfit created so it was no it was little surprise when it came in for more criticism than most. That didn’t stop “Set To Fail” from being nominated for a Grammy in the Best Metal Performance category in 2010 though, such was the stock of the band at the time. So it is as a coin toss between that and “Contractor” as our choice for this trip down memory lane…
