Ahead of the 10th Mat via Revolver Records grand unveiling of album number five in “Variant” from Manchester Industrial Metal returners Kill II This, the band have premiered “Heart Shaped Grenade“. The third single from the album is accompanied by a lyric video created by Andy Pilkington at Very Metal Art, the man who also was also entrusted to do the album art once the band had settled on the title…

The band comment: “Only a few weeks to go! The new album title is “Variant.” Here is the cover art, designed by Andy Pilkington (Tigers Of Pan Tang, KK’s Priest, Opeth) at Very Metal Art. We originally had a much more complicated title for the album but the Variant title came about during the Covid lockdown period. It also echoes previous Kill II This album titles, especially ‘Deviate,’ and the roman numeral V signifies that this is the fifth album. We are delighted with what Andy has come up with. There are some really clever touches and the detail is incredible. We’ve recorded a very strong album with Variant and it needed powerful artwork to match.”
