NEWS: Serpent Fire offer a virgin sacrifice!

After taking a break from music, guitarist Jukka Piironen decided to start a fresh project with vocalist Jukka Mursu (Gorem, Vinnfrost, Nex Locus). As the song writing partnership blossomed, the duo went in search of other musicians to round out the group and found guitarist J.K Hel (ex- Man Eating Tree, Corpset), keyboard player Marco Sneck (Poisonblack, Chamelion) and drummer Pete Karjalainen (Gorem). Christening the project Serpent Fire, they honed a Melodic Death Metal sound with the coldness and melancholy of Northern Finland in every note. “Wait Until The Dark” is the first burnt offering to surface with an EP said to be in the works for an Inverse Records release…

The band comment: “Wait Until the Dark song is for those who can find tranquillity from darkness rather than light. It’s about this roller coaster of life. Ups and downs, black and white, hate and love. One must realise that even in the darkest times there is also a learning curve. Possibility to learn something from it and come back stronger afterwards. So, let’s embrace the dark and welcome it as a part of our existence rather than fear it.”
