NEWS: Burial Path strike two with “The Luminary”!

They’re being touted as one of the most exciting and powerful new voices in the Post-Deathcore underground and it’s easy to see why. Hailing from Texas and Nebraska, Burial Path have shared their second single ever in “The Luminary” as they build on the foundations of “The Seeker” towards what is mysteriously being called a forthcoming project. Whether that’s an album or an EP remains to be seen but a refined evolution of Deathcore which incorporates elements of Doom, Post-Metal and avant-garde as their sound is clear…

In discussing the thematic core of the track, vocalist Aïcha Finnleikr shares: “The Luminary is an exploration and interpretation of the unconscious mind’s processing of overwhelming fears in a dream state. Lyrically, the song visits what it means to understand and make peace with what we cannot control. Each instrument was written in a way that would add a feeling of tension and dread. The post-production adds further to that with droning tones and percussive elements that can be jarring and unsettling to the mind.”
