NEWS: Dimman awake to dawns early light!

It’s been a long time coming but finally the follow up to 2021’s critically acclaimed “Songs and Tales of Grievance” from Finnish Melodic Death Metal act Dimman will be in our greasy paws on 28th February 2025 via Inverse Records. For a second single from their second studio album “Consciousness” the band have chosen “The First Daylight” with nine in total making the grade and “Infinitum” already out there in cyberspace…

Guitarist Jaakko Yli-Sorvari comments: “The second single, ‘The First Daylight,’ represents the heaviest offering on the album, flirting with both black metal and metalcore tones. The track’s tight riffs and aggressive drumming provide a good workout for the neck muscles for just over three minutes. The lyrics are inspired by times when good periods turn worse and difficulties try to take over the mind. However, sometimes it’s good to dwell on the dark side a bit, and the composition is a great example of how negative experiences can be channelled into music, as cliché as it may sound, haha!”
