NEWS: Dislimn tell Esmee’s Story once more!

Following the recent release of their highly anticipated debut EP “Esmee” via Argonauta Records imprint label Octopus Rising, French Progressive Doomgazers Dislimn have unveiled a captivating live session video for “Esmee’s Story” cut from it. The project’s soundscape melds the hypnotic resentment of Progressive, Heavy and Doom with the nebulous nuances of Scandinavian melodies…

The band comment: “We recently came up with the idea to film a live session of two of our songs from our EP ‘Esmee’. We believe that these songs offer a great picture of our universe. Both songs will take you through heavy riffs, eerie soundscapes and dark ambiences. They are also key songs in the story of the main character of our EP, Esmee. The song “Esmee’s story” is an open letter in which she confesses her dark thoughts. It represents the part of the story in which she gets overwhelmed by Anxiety. “Release Me” is the final song of our EP, at top of being the final song of our live sets. This song is also our strongest hymn, a meaningful one rich in emotions, that everybody can relate to. In our EP, it’s the part of the story where Esmee decides to fight against her demons. Both of these songs have a very strong effect when we play those live, which is also why we chose them!”
