NEWS: Ophelia’s Eye seek Catharis…

Swiss Metalcore merchants Ophelia’s Eye have announced they have a new EP on the horizon in “Catharis“. While the date for that remains to be confirmed, the cover art and first single from it in “Drowning in a Cloud” have been shared with subliminal messaging via social media seeming to be gradually unveiling a track listing. The timing is perfect with the band set to appear in Lenzburg and Baden in their homeland before the end of the year…

The band comment: “In a world where silence becomes a witness, where even the supposed protectors have betrayed us, all that remains is the bitter aftertaste of resignation. Our new single delves deep into this bleak reality – an endless cycle that draws us into darkness.

We are embroiled in a case from which there seems to be no way out. We cry out in shame and despair, but we lack the strength to really change anything. This song reflects the inner struggle between the desire for change and the reality of our powerlessness.

We are on the brink of extinction, trapped in our own dreams and fears. ‘Drowning in a Cloud’ is a painful cry for redemption, a last attempt to escape the unbearable burden of this world. Can we free ourselves from the clouds before we drown in them?”
