NEWS: Buried Realm see ghost snakes on a plane?

What is going on here? Buried Realm mastermind, ,multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Josh Dummer has been joined by Finntroll drummer Heikki Saari and Fleshgod Apocalypse orchestration and synth guru Francesco Ferrini for another captivating and compelling moment of Melodic Death Metal. Blending darkness and melody “Ophidian Dreams” continues the thematic musical journey that has not only spawned an unholy trinity of albums since 2017 but also seen a myriad of guests partake in the action.

Mastermind Josh Dummer elaborates: “‘Ophidian Dreams’ feels like a natural extension of the darker, haunting energy that pervades much of the album. The atmosphere wraps around you, brooding and profound, like sinking into a nightmare you can’t quite escape. There’s an overwhelming sense of drowning, as the music pulls you deeper, constricting and releasing in shifting, undulating waves. It blends progressive elements, where tension and release create an almost hypnotic pull. For me, this track began as fragmented ideas years ago, but it only truly came together when I approached it from a fresh perspective.”
