NEWS: Ashes In The Fall paint in dust?
Citing influences in Opeth, Neurosis and Alcest as well as music outside the metal genre, such as Jazz, Folk, Progressive Rock and Hardcore punk to name a few, Ashes In The Fall are preparing for the release of their debut EP “Where Serenity Prevails” on 21st March via Inverse Records. Self describing their sound as a fusion of Progressive Death Metal and Post-Metal, the Finnish quintet have shared “Dusk Of Mankind” and also mentioned they’ve been booked to play the KVLT stage at Tuska Festival in June…
The band comments: “ ‘Dusk of Mankind’ is a foretaste of our upcoming debut EP “Where Serenity Prevails”. The song combines acoustic sections and clean vocals with distorted sections and harsh vocals. Also worth mentioning are the polyphonic vocal harmonies and jazz influences. The song paints a picture of the Earth returning to its natural state after the destruction of mankind. Influences can be heard from Opeth and Alcest, among others. Highly recommended for listeners of progressive death metal and post-metal as well as fans of the above-mentioned bands. And for those who like a rough and authentic production, the song was recorded, mixed and mastered by the band. The full version of the song (with solos!) will be released on the EP.”
