NEWS: Bear Mace meet their maker?

Chicago Death Metal juggernaut Bear Mace have unveiled a second cut in “The Iceman Cometh” from their taken new album “Slaves of the Wolf” which will arrive on 6th June. Inspired by genre pioneers like Bolt Thrower and Massacre they’ve been on the grind since 2012, creating a rich tapestry of historical and fantastical themes with cold-blooded legacy of an infamous contract killer explored on this one no different.

Vocalist Chris Scearce: “This one is about Richard Kuklinski, the infamous ‘Iceman’ who was purported to have killed over 200 people. Every method of killing described in the lyrics are ways that he actually disposed of his victims.”

Guitarist Mark Sugar: “A lot of Slayer influence here, especially the guitar solo tradeoff. The secret ingredient in writing ‘old school death metal’ is listening to the bands that inspired death metal originally.”
