NEWS: Cober Mouth fuelled by guilt?

Mastered by Maxi Curnow (Toska, Drewsif Stalin, Boiling Over) of Horizon Mastering a new single from South West Nu-Metalcore merchants Cober Mouth has surfaced from the dark recesses. Seemingly inspired by time spent on the road with Heart of a Coward and Osiah, “Guilty Weight” finds them once again cryptically writing about internal conflict with fierce intensity and raw emotion. The hard hitting grooves are as undeniable as the breakdown and a sanity testing music video. As if that wasn’t enough, it also serves as a second single from a new record titled “III: Dark As It Gets” which currently has no release date or cover art…

Vocalist Adam Jones comments: comments: “Guilty Weight returns closer to our metalcore roots, whilst retaining the frantic vocals and bombastic grooves from nu-metal influences. For me, this is the most unrelenting track we’ve created to date. When it isn’t being all out heavy or anthemic, it’s got you by the throat to whisper your failings in close quarters. This is the first major contribution we’ve had from Sam Windsor since he joined Cober Mouth – he had written an entire instrumental for the track before we completed it as a trio. I’m unbelievably excited to explore his sound and share it with everyone.

You can catch Cober Mouth live this summer:

02/05 – Cardiff, Fuel
21/06 – London, The Black Heart
20/09 – Sheffield, Amplified Festival
