NEWS: Patristic sleep in the ashes of empires?
Featuring in their ranks members of Hideous Divinity, Frostmoon Eclipse and Nocturnal Depression, Roman Blackened Death Metal horde Patristic have written the soundtrack of the age of quiet chaos between classic world, paganism and the impending shadow of the cross. They have inked a deal in blood with Willowtip records to distribute their debut album “Catechesis” on 20th June on vinyl, compact disc and of course digitally with a music video for “Catechesis I” now streaming.
The band’s name and concept comes from Patristics which is the study of the early Christian writers who are designated Church Fathers. The period is generally considered to run from the end of New Testament times or end of the Apostolic Age (c. AD 100) to either AD 451 (the date of the Council of Chalcedon) or to the Second Council of Nicaea in 787. Debut album “Catechesis” follows 2022 debut EP “Apologetica” and is the band’s first release for Willowtip.
