NEWS: Respect For Zero take “Overtime” track-by-track!

Following the arrival of first single “Born Again“,  Italian Hardcore Homewreckers Respect For Zero have shared a track by track breakdown of their 30th June via Time To Kill Records EP “Overtime“. Mastered by Leandro Ferraiuolo (Fulci, Rainswept, Blvd Of Death) at Till Deaf Recording Studio Caserta, the EP has been six years in the making and follows 2019 sophomore album “My Sacrifice” out of the gate.

The band comment:

The EP “Overtime” navigates a dark and intense emotional landscape, evoke a sense of urgency, of being at a decisive moment where the dynamics at play are pushed to the extreme, both in terms of destructive potential and the last chance for change.

The opening track, “Born Again,” speaks of an existential blockage, a loss of strength and feelings, yet urges to react and find a personal rebirth in the face of despair.

“Reaching Death” delves into the grim world of addiction, showcasing its destructive nature not only for the individual but also for loved ones, with a sense of lostness and self-destruction.

“Sagnol” paints a picture of inner conflict between love and hate, pleasure and pain, trapping the individual in a cycle of intense and destructive emotions, culminating in a sense of condemnation.

Finally, “Mirrors” offers a broader social critique, denouncing a society where minds are manipulated by superficial and deceptive messages, leading to an unsatisfying existence and blind obedience to corrupt systems. Despite the darkness, a common thread of resilience and the possibility of a new beginning emerges in “Born Again.””
