NEWS: Brainwave announce new album “Ill Intent” with a music video for the title track!
A third single from the as yet undated new album “Ill Intent” by New Zealand Hardcore homewreckers Brainwave has landed like a left hook from a prize fighter. After giving us “The Truth” and “Another Foe” the band have announced pre-orders of a translucent orange vinyl edition of the record alongside the title track, which features a guest vocal appearance from Luke Manson of Auckland-bred and now UK-based, bruisers Xile. Sticking with the tried, tested and true, the outfit have once again worked with long time friend a co-conspirator Lewis Noke-Edwards and it seems that the Melbourne based producer has helped them not only refine but sharpen up their sound. If you like what you hear and you’re interested in that vinyl, you can find it here.
Vocalist Rob Thompson comments “Luke is a legend in New Zealand hardcore and we’re stoked to have him feature on the track. Crafting the sonic and visual identity of the album has been a wild ride. ‘Ill Intent’ was one of the earlier songs we wrote and naturally became the thematic anchor for everything else. We’ve got more surprises on the album too. We’re excited to finally announce the record and send it out into the world. There is nothing more metal than a warrior with a huge bloody axe triumphing over his adversaries.”
