NEWS: Mélancolia complete metamorphosis with “ALL_IS_RUST”?

Set to join Thy Art Is Murder and Hate Complex for a regional tour of their Australian homeland this summer, a sophomore album from Mélancolia has been announced for 29th August via Nuclear Blast. Titled “random.access.misery” the record finds the band re-inventing their sound adding Metalcore, Industrial noise, blast beats and DJ scratching to their previous Deathcore refrains. That hellish sonic cocktail is one the band have coined as “Blackened Nu Metal” with first single “ALL_IS_RUST” serving as both a declaration of evolution and a warning: Mélancolia are not here to follow trends—they’re here to dismantle them.

Vocalist Alex Hill comments: “While there has been a departure from straight up deathcore, we feel this song sounds even more representative of Mélancolia. And after testing the waters debuting this song in Europe earlier this year we can confirm this one is already a crowd favourite. We are bringing a fresh sound to an otherwise stale scene, you will not hear what we are doing from anyone else. We are setting the trend as we set the bar for modern heavy music.
