NEWS: Revocation announce “New Gods, New Masters”!

How many guest appearances does it take to make for a tantalising treat of a new Revocation record? The Boston Death Thrash institution have lined up Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation, Luc Lemay of Gorguts, Jonny Davy of Job For A Cowboy and jazz guitarist Gilad Hekselman no less for their new album “New Gods, New Masters“. Produced by guitarist and vocalist David Davidson, mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (The Haunted, Spiritbox, Sepultura) and with artwork by Paolo Girardi (Bell Witch, Mother Of Graves, Black Breath, Cryptopsy), that will be with us on 26th September via Metal Blade. Pre-orders are of course available over at bandcamp with the aforementioned Davy joining the band for a music video for “Cronenberged“.

Guitarist and vocalist Dave Davidson comments: “The track centres itself on a science experiment gone wrong. I’m a massive sci-fi horror fan and love the body horror genre that David Cronenberg helped to create so this is my homage to that. Also, shout out to Rick And Morty for inspiring the song title. The video for ‘Cronenberged’ features tons of gore and practical effects. It was so fun to create a little mini sci-fi horror movie for this track. Getting to transform into a hideous tentacle monster was a real treat. I knew things were going well when the My Good Eye film crew were gagging at how gross it was off screen.
