NEWS: The Risen Dread love arson?
If you need a third advanced listen to convince you to check out “Death from Above” by Irish Metal act The Risen Dread when it appears via Time To Kill Records on 13th June then you’re in luck. The band have offered up a music vide for “Burn My Angels” from the album produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Marco Mastrobuono (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance) at Bloom Studios in Italy to convince you. Tea? Milk and sugar?
The band comment: “Burn My Angels is the third single from the upcoming album Death from Above. It tells the story of a soul who dies and descends to Hell, only to discover that eternity in the abyss feels like true freedom. Instead of punishment, the flames, chaos, and darkness become a source of joy and empowerment. “Burn My Angels” symbolizes the deliberate rejection of divine protection. By setting their guardian angels ablaze, the protagonist breaks free from any heavenly oversight and claims sovereignty over their fate. Inspired by the saying, “That person has a special place in Hell,” the song flips the sentiment on its head. The character proudly embraces that special place, celebrating Hell as their rightful home and finding purpose in the ever-burning fire that consumes all around them.”
