NEWS: Lacuna Coil share “In Nomine Patris” lyrics video!

After a standout performance on the Ronnie James Dio main stage at this summers Bloodstock Festival, Italian Metal titans Lacuna Coil have unveiled a music video for “In Nomine Patris” as they warm up for their European tour with Nonpoint. The track is one extracted from their tenth studio album “Sleepless Empire” which dropped in February via Century Media, continuing their move towards darker, heavier sounds.

Andrea Ferro comments: “Once we decided to make a lyric video for the song ‘In Nomine Patris’ we thought we should use the opportunity to bring some of Roberto Toderico’s drawings to life. He did such an amazing job in designing the art for ‘Sleepless Empire’ that it would deserve a complete animated version of the whole album! Obviously, we can only do so much and we’ve opted for this specific song that’s been striking so many people’s hearts. It’s a song about facing the fear of being influenced by things much bigger than us, that we can’t totally comprehend or that we think we’re not ready to face, something we consider sacred in a way. We need to take it one step at the time, day by day, ….it takes time to build an empire.”

“The new year will finally see us go back to the Middle East, Australia and Asia, we can’t wait to bring the new songs and also the classic LC tunes. We don’t get to visit very often but whenever we travel there, it’s always very special, it feels like a journey into ourselves, it reminds us of how great and diverse the world is and how much music unites us all even in these weird times. So don’t miss your chance to rule the ‘Sleepless Empire’ with us, get your tickets and be ready to rock out!”

The band add: “’Sleepless Empire’ captures, through our eyes, the chaos of a generation trapped in a digital world that never stops, where social media consumes identity and every day pushes us one step closer to becoming soulless zombies. We find ourselves in between, having witnessed a full analogic world and the modern one, confronting the evolution and searching for a true meaning of it all. Throughout every song, the journey is an undercurrent of rebellion, a desperate cry to reclaim oneself in an era that seems to have lost its sense of time and reality.”
