NEWS: Struck/Down crawl through a tar pit!
It turns out Kent Groove Metal merchants Struck/Down survived not only this year’s incarnation of Hammerdown Festival but also a sold out show at The Penny Theatre in Canterbury alongside Nuns Of The Tundra and Desire/Lines. That of course means they have been able to present us with the gift of a fourth new single of 2025 in “The Slog“.
The band comment: “This groove fest deep dives into modern life and how everyday can feel like a war of attrition within your own mind. The song is from the perspective of someone right on the edge of becoming nothing, and wondering whether it’s worth even pulling away from such a conclusion.
“The Slog” references issues with image, self worth, health, disease, and trust in the wrong friends. Everyone’s experience is very different, but those that take on the slog of tomorrow are champions in our eyes.”
