NEWS: Atavistia follow the ravens…

A second single from the completely re-imagined and re-recorded album “The Winter Way (Reforged)” by Symphonic Melodic Death Metal heroes Atavistia has surfaced in lyric video form. For the purpose the band have chosen “Through The Hollow Raven’s Eyes (Reforged)” with the album due on 12th December via Blood Blast Distribution. Originally released in 2020, “The Winter Way” marked a defining moment for the four piece and their ambitious fusion of Extreme Metal with orchestral soundscapes. However, never happy with the original album and facing unforeseen delays on a new one, Mattias Sippola decided to revisit the record with a vision for an entirely new recording, featuring reworked arrangements, modern production, and rewritten orchestral and atmospheric elements…

Founder Mattias Sippola comments on the original album, giving the reason for the “Reforged” concept: “It was simply not even close enough to being ready. From fat trimming, performance during the recording stage, and the overall production, it just wasn’t there.”
