NEWS: Northern Genocide seek new world order?

Currently working on a third studio album for a 2026 via Inverse Records release, Finnish Modern Melodic Metal band Northern Genocide have decided to fire a warning shot about the shape of punk to come. Lyrics written by their new vocalist Joni Parkkinen make “New World” the first impression of what the bands renewed sound will be like.

New vocalist Joni Parkkinen comments: “New World is a story about how humanity’s greed has driven nature to turn against us. The song gives a voice to Gaia, tormented by a morbid misanthropy and a desire to cleanse humanity of the disease that threatens her. She offers you a chance to reach out your hand and step into a new world – one that lives by the laws of nature.”

The band add: “The song was created more collectively than ever before, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Let this be a storm warning of what’s to come from our upcoming full-length studio album”
