NEWS: A Light Within smash the clock in fear!

Returning from hiatus in 2022, Kansas City Missouri Progressive Metal act A Light Within became a four piece with Josh Bennett transitioning from guitar to bass before going on to release four new singles in 2024. Taking that a step further, vocalist Kyle Brandt and guitarist Jeff Irvine revisited the bands debut EP “Preface“, revamping the original recordings with upgraded production, clarity and reimagined parts.

Their journey continues with “Dying Clock“, a nine minute long magnum opus of a track carefully crafted throughout 2025 for which they enlisted Failure drummer Kelli Scott and bassist Madelyn Robertson. Mastered by Acle Kahney of Tesseract fame at 4DSounds, it opens a new chapter with a signature blend of introspection, atmosphere and emotional weight, a continuation of their slow, deliberate evolution.
