NEWS: Hautajaisyö strike two with guests on “Kuusi Kantajaa”!

Taking the path less travelled Finnish Death Metal band Hautajaisyö have shared an alternative version of single “Kuusi Kantajaa” (or “Six Bearers“) to the one which will appear on their fifth album “Surun Paino” (or “The Weight of Grief“). That’s because the rendition in the music video features guest appearances by the Jumalaudat choir as well as cameos from Finnish Metal bands including Surujuhla, Messiah Paratroops, Defiled Serenity, Kituma, Vahinkolapsi, and Chordae Exitium. The album itself will be available on 20th March via Inverse Records.

Vocalist Janne Partanen comments: “‘Kuusi Kantajaa’ has been a hit with audiences from the moment it was first performed live. As the audience shouts along with the choir, the song is taken to a new level. This song has a similar feel to our older hit, ‘Revin Ihoni Rikki’, but only time will tell if it will be as popular.”
