NEWS: Endless Chain announce “Nothingness” and new label home!
Characterised by rich, haunting melodies, crushing riffs and atmospheric soundscapes, Endless Chain have long been known to seamlessly bridge the gap between Melancholic Gothic Metal and heavy Melodic Death Metal. On 20th November the Finnish titans next album “Nothingness” will see the cold light of day via new label home M-Theory Audio, diving into themes of human struggle, resilience and hope amid inner chaos. The first taste of that is “Fade to Nothingness” with pre-orders available over at bandcamp
Label founder Marco Barbieri: “There’s only a couple instances I regretted passing on a band’s submission, and Endless Chain is one. We considered releasing the band’s 2024 album “Agony”. Hearing the finished album, I instantly knew I’d made a mistake – Endless Chain’s unique mix of dark aggression and poignant emotion resonated instantly. I’m thrilled they gave us another chance with their third album – a powerhouse release that takes their evocative, expressive songwriting to a whole new level.”
Guitarist Timo Mölsä: “We’re incredibly excited to join the M-Theory Audio family. Many years of dedicated and patient work have led us to this moment. We would like to sincerely thank Marco Barbieri and the entire M-Theory Audio team for believing in our band and our music. We can’t wait to share the new album with the world. Although ‘Fade to Nothingness’ is one of the heaviest EC songs ever, there’s still something beautiful within it. It’s a good representation of the upcoming album, and it was one of the first songs I wrote for the new album.”
Vocalist Aki Salonen: “The story behind the song is pretty complex. It’s about that ‘darkest hour’ when you finally admit to yourself that things went too far a long time ago, and no amount of fighting is going to bring that past back. It could be about relationships, serious illness, death, you name it. In the end, it’s up to the listener which perspective eases their mind the most.”
