Rabidfest 2026: Breaking Down The Bands #7: Dacara!

They say that time flies when you’re having fun but it’s more a case of time flying when you’re as busy as it gets which makes it all the more important to have some downtime. So how about coming out to Oxford’s finest Metal Weekender that is Rabidfest and enjoying twenty bands over two days at The Bullingdon? That will take place on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November, the warm atmosphere, cold drinks and scorching riffs being more than enough to help you forget about your life for a few hours and go back to it refreshed… or hungover. The choice is yours! Bring a friend, a loved one or a family member and leave your baggage at the door because the mosh pit awaits!

A warm up show dubbed “28 Days Prior” will take place at The Jericho Tavern in Oxford on 3rd October and the line up for that looks like this:

Who the f*** are Dacara and why are they a band you shouldn’t miss at Rabidfest we hear you cry! They’re a four piece hailing from Manchester who love their video games and anime that create Pop infused Metalcore laced with pop culture themes for good measure. Like most bands there is more to them than meets the eye (and ear) and they have been known to deviate from the path with elements of J-Rock and cite influences in Crossfaith, Baby Metal and Enter Shikari to name but a few. Since forming in 2019 the band have grown exponentially from playing The Retro Bar in Manchester to supporting Skarlett Riot before being greeting by three thousand people at Download Festival Doghouse Takeover in 2025 and four thousand at Radar Festival earlier this summer. While hitting those stages they’ve been waterfall releasing songs, reaching fourteen before announcing their debut EP for later this year. Those have included a combined 300k of Spotify and YouTube streams combined for their three biggest tracks “Megalovania“, “Rot” and “DeGEN“. So what are you waiting for? Go learn the words so you can scream along with the masses at Rabidfest on Halloween! Now that’s what we call catharsis!
