Rabidfest 2026: Breaking Down The Bands #5: The Crawling!

When it comes down to it, there is nothing quite like live music is there? The energy! The atmosphere! The mosh pits! If you thought that festival season came to an end in the summer then guess again because at The Bullingdon in the heart of Oxford over the weekend of 31st October and 1st November it will be time to party once more at Rabidfest! They’ve lined up twenty bands to impress you over two days on the Devolution Magazine sponsored stage and of course the bar will be serving up your favourite drinks so why not bring a friend and join the party? You might miss out on something really cool, not to mention the fact that it’s all in aid of raising money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

A warm up show dubbed “28 Days Prior” will take place at The Jericho Tavern in Oxford on 3rd October and the line up for that looks like this:

Since 2014 Death infused Doom Metal trio The Crawling have been plotting a course for World domination from Lisburn in County Down. Lead by guitarist and vocalist Andy Clarke (Honey for Christ, Sollein, Devilmakesthree) who has alongside him bassist Adrien Crozet (Lost Brethren, Zombified) and drummer Ant Deane (Lost Brethren, Isaiah, Basement Torture Killings) they have been all around Europe spreading death and disease with their misery. Bleak lyrical narratives have been a key part of their sound with 2017’s “Anatomy Of Loss” landing them a pair fan favourites in “An Immaculate Deception” and “The Right To Crawl“. Its safe to say that the Rabidfest crowd will be swaying like marionettes to their sounds of torment but they’ll also be keen to hear some new music, the band having a fresh EP titled “What We Leave Behind” slated for a 2nd October grand reveal.
