NEWS: Corpse Water earn a new dawn…

Back in May Grindscene Records distributed limited edition lime green vinyl as “Something In The Water” by Corpse Water, the solo project of Stangle Wire vocalist Pete Clarke. A creative outlet for his primal Death Metal urges, a space where he could explore a purely old school approach and let his love for the early works of bands like Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under and Obituary. On 26th October a compact disc edition of the album will be unveiled via Memento Mori, so if you missed it here’s “Blood High“.

Pete Clarke: “Corpse Water started as an idea to put together an album of old-school death metal, taking inspiration from the bands and records I grew up listening to. I’ve never been particularly interested in making music unnecessarily complicated. I just wanted to write songs that people could enjoy listening to.”

“I’ve been familiar with Memento Mori for some time and have a lot of respect for what they’ve done within the underground death metal scene. I’m delighted that Memento Mori will be releasing the album on CD. It’s great to have Corpse Water associated with a label that has such a strong commitment to underground death metal.”

“I’m already looking towards the second album, but for now I’m looking forward to seeing …Something in the Water released on CD and hopefully introducing the album to some new listeners.”
