Rabidfest 2026: Breaking Down The Bands #10: Spared An Endless Orbit!

We’ve reached the half way point of our breaking down the bands series for this years Rabdifest, which can only mean one thing. It’s time for us to talk about one of the heaviest bands on this years line up! Before we get into that however, we should talk about a few details. Rabidfest is Oxford’s finest Metal Weekender and will this year be taking place over Halloween weekend, Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November and the venue will of course be The Bullingdon. Buy a ticket and you’ll be treated to no less than twenty bands over the two days, each one trying to reduce the venue to rubble while demonstrating their prowess. Drinks are of course at the bar, so bring a friend, family member or date and have yourself some fun! You know you want to!

A warm up show dubbed “28 Days Prior” will take place at The Jericho Tavern in Oxford on 3rd October and the line up for that looks like this:

You read the headline and now in time honoured fashion you’re wondering just who Spared An Endless Orbit are and why they’re worth the admission fee? Well you’re in the right place! Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Spared an Endless Orbit are a five piece who create in the space between Deathcore, Progressive Metal, Slam and Thall. If that doesn’t mean anything to you then think about what the bastard son of Humanity’s Last Breath, Distant, Fallujah and Gutrectomy would sound like and if you haven’t suffered a brain haemorrhage then you’ll get the picture. Play songs like “Deliver Me From Evil” from their November 2025 released self titled EP loud enough and it will register as seismic activity with its rumbling bass, thunderous percussion and down tuned guitars. When it comes to live performances, the five piece have been treading the boards with everyone from Virtue In Vain to Archives and Pteroglyph since they began the journey two years ago, so we’re expecting pure, unrelenting aggression from the band and complete carnage in the mosh pit!
