The Black Map #200: Kill All The Gentlemen from Devon!

A band we described as the Kings of United Kingdom Blackened Death Metal when we reviewed their new album “Black Canvas“, Kill All The Gentlemen are a band worthy of note, their blend of extreme and melodic heavy metal gritty and intense while also being rich and harmonic and there aren’t many who can make those two Worlds collide without creating a train wreck. The band have been together for more than a decade, their 2013 self titled debut opening the doors, building relationships and momentum before 2018’s “The Loss and The Rapture” with producer Chris Fielding (Boss Keloid, Urne, Conan) of Foel Studio at the helm lit the blue touch paper. Bone crunching riff infestation with intricate arrangements and thunderous percussive battery catapulting each and every listener into a dark and merciless place while leading to the band sharing stages as far afield as Kyiv in Ukraine with Napalm Death. The new album and the continued work with both Sliptrick Records and Fielding as well as Macabre artist Jose Gabriel Alegria Sabogal (Abyssal, Vitriol, Nightbringer) serving only to enhance their glowing reputation. So if you’re not familiar with the work of Adam Martin (Vocals, Guitar), Ben Andrew (Bass, Backing Vocals), Mikey Precious (Guitar, Backing Vocals) and Thomas Arne Rørstad (Drums) then we recommend that you take a few minutes to do so, your ear drums will thank you for it.
