Vs Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! Hail.

There are classic albums and there are career defining ones and for Canadian Hardcore Punks Cancer Bats, their 2008 sophomore album “Hail Destroyer” fits neatly into both categories. Critically acclaimed with a Sludge Metal weight to riffs from now former guitarist Scott Middleton and film references to Pulp Fiction among others it far surpassed the success of 2009 science fiction horror film Splice directed by Vincenzo Natali and starring Adrien Brody upon the soundtrack of which the title track appears. It just feels great and their can’t be many bands that can claim a 10th anniversary celebration of 4 back to back sold out nights at Camden Underworld around their finest hour.

So to our head to head and in the Red Corner we have a pair of members of Six Burning Knives who released their version of the classic “Hail Destroyer” by Cancer Bats under the monkier Burn It! studios. In the Blue Corner we have Our Last Crusade who make it Spain Vs Canada as the 8-string Metal act from Calgary, Alberta reach the celebration of a decade of aggression with their version. Who Wins? You decide!
