NEWS: Northvoid betrayed by those they trusted most?
Inverse Records have set a date of 25th April for the distribution of “Ember Remains” by Northvoid and announced that with an obligatory single in “Entrusted“. The new cut is the second of five to make the grade from a band who deliver a sonic assault rooted in the Melodic Death Metal of the 90’s. Laced with Groove and inspired by the harsh environment and wilderness of northern Finland, you can expect frostbite to take hold when this one surfaces. Pre-orders are available over at bandcamp.
Guitarist and composer Markus Heikkinen comments: “Entrusted is the band’s most melancholic, even oppressive song to date. Despite its anxiety, the song has become an important part of the band’s story.”
Drummer and lyricist Timo Korkalainen adds: “I see that the lyrics of the song have different meanings, depending on the listener. They can describe men who, without speaking to each other, watch an autumn campfire somewhere in the woods. The lyrics also have a melancholic side, which I think fits well with the heavy guitar sound of the song”
