Mixed and mastered by Henri Sattler (Winter Of Sun, Temple Of Dread, Epica) the crushing “Black Window Walpurga” has been unleashed by Dutch Death Metal crew Written In Blood. The song is the first chapter of a brutal two-part concept based on the terrifying true story of Walpurga Hausmännin, a 16th century midwife accused of witchcraft, demonic pacts and the murder of over 40 children. Remaining unnamed and undated, the band are expected to include both parts on a new album, the follow up to 2022’s well received self titled affair, this cut being the fourth single since. Formed in 2019 by former members of God Dethroned, Mandator, Morte Aeterna and Procreation, the outfit draws from the spirit of the 90’s Death Metal sound, blending it with themes from myth, folklore, and ancient history…
