NEWS: Cineastre write another song book full of hymns for dark ritual?

For Black Lion Records a milestone or perhaps even a landmark moment, will very soon be reached. That’s because the label have announced their 190th global album release with “Hymnen an die Nacht” (or “Hymns To The Night”) from German atmospheric Dark Folk and Black Metal project Cineastre. The culmination of three years of dedicated work, the new album is set for a 25th July grand unveiling and is said to be both haunting and poetic with “Mondscheintrunkene Lindenblüten” (or “Moonlight-drunk linden blossoms”) is the first single.

Once again, as with their 2023 self titled debut album, the band explores themes of romanticism to create a powerful blend of melodic black metal and dark folk. The album embodies both euphoria and melancholy, expressing a longing for a more enchanted world—one that transcends the chaos of modernity.
