NEWS: Roman Candle admit “This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun”!

…with a sound rooted in the lineage of bands like Saetia, Touché Amoré and Poison the Well, Las Vegas Hardcore firebrands Roman Candle blend classic screamo sensibilities with a modern edge that balances raw catharsis with poetic tension. Their 2022 debut EP “Discount Fireworks” put them on the map and after a couple of years sharing stages with everyone from Dying Wish to Boundaries and Foreign Hands, they’ve inked a deal with Sumerian Records. A second single since doing so has arrived in “This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun“, so perhaps an album is imminent.

Vocalist Piper Ferrari shares: “This song came out of everything that happened last year—personally and with the band. We took a step back to write and figured out what Roman Candle really means to us, and in that time I realised how much I just couldn’t let anything go. The lyrics—’It’s like walking a tightrope / The world beneath me and that feeling in my stomach’—pretty much sums up that feeling of trying to hold it together while everything’s spinning. ‘This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun’ is about tension, pride, and refusing to quit even when it feels impossible. We poured everything into this one, and now that it’s out, we’re more excited than ever to get back on stage. Playing these new songs live feels like taking our power back.”
