NEWS: Hacktivist announce departure of Timfy James!
Hacktivist have announced the amicable departure of guitarist Tim “Timfy James” Beazley in June following the bands next 3 shows. The former Heart Of A Coward guitarist was one of the founder members of the group, combining forces with former Heart Of A Coward frontman Ben Marvin in the group. Marvin exited the band in January last year to spend more time with his family and was replaced by Jot Maxi, who appeared as a guest vocalist on the bands track “Rotten”. It’s widely expected that James will focus on his production career with a number of releases already out in the World, including the self-titled full length from Faces Of Eve.
The shows in question appear to be
Fri 4th May – Ecole Polytechique, Federale, Lausanne, Switzerland
Sat 19th May – Unit Nine, Milton Keynes (Home Town Throwdown!)
Sat 2nd June – Camden Rocks Festival, London
The band then have the following pair of live shows in the calendar
Sat 2nd July – Fat Lip Festival, Bristol (One Dayer @ The Lanes)
Sun 12th August – Matterly Estate, Alresford (Sold Out)
The official statement reads
“IT’S WITH HEAVY HEARTS THAT WE ANNOUNCE @timfyjames WILL BE LEAVING US. WE THANK HIM PROFUSELY FOR THE BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS HE HAS PUT INTO DEFINING THE HACKTIVIST SOUND. HIS DEPARTURE BRINGS WITH IT A NEW DAWN, AND YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM US VERY SOON WITH FRESH NEW MUSIC”
