Vs. Tuesday: Two Bands! One Song! Who Wins? FIGHT! P.O.D.!

Better known as P.O.D., Payable On Death are a band who have often divided. The American Nu-Metallers broke out with their third album “The Fundamental Elements of Southtown” from which this song “Southtown” is taken in 1999 with a reputation for fun. The San Diego California Music Awards gave the band their Album of the Year award in 2001 as well as The Song of The Year for single “Rock The Party (Off The Hook)”. Over the years they have evolved from a Rap Metal oriented sound through Nu-Metal and on to a more Reggae infused Hard Rock one.

In the Red corner and perhaps a surprise choice for a band like The Ghost Inside, they covered the song for the Fearless Records compilation “Punk Goes 90s Vol. 2”. They have hinted at new music after making their live return earlier this summer. In the Blue corner we have hailing from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia Defending Cain, a band with a combined 30 years of experience of shows with anyone and everyone. Their current EP “Del” is out now. Who wins? You decide!
